From the 1 From the Department of Pharmacology, University of Wisconsin Medical School, Madison, Wisconsin 53706

Cytidine diphosphate d-glucose oxidoreductase has been purified 200-fold from an extract of Pasteurella pseudotuberculosis Type V. Some properties of the enzyme, including its requirement for diphosphopyridine nucleotide, have been described. The product of the reaction has been isolated and identified as CDP-4-keto-6-deoxy-d-glucose.
