An enzyme which catalyzes the hydrolysis of guanosine diphosphate-glucose to guanosine diphosphate and glucose has been purified 130-fold from bakers' yeast extracts. Other sugar nucleotides as well as glucose 1-phosphate were not hydrolyzed.
