The Isolation of Deoxyribonucleic Acid from Lamb Heart Mitochondria

A method is described for the isolation of purified deoxyribonucleic acid from lamb heart mitochondria. This DNA has a density of 1.714 in CsCl, compared to 1.704 for the DNA of the nuclear fraction, and appears to be double stranded.
