Neela Patel, Els C. M. Brinkman-Van der Linden, Scott W. Altmann, Kurt Gish, Sriram Balasubramanian, Jackie C. Timans, David Peterson, Marcum P. Bell, J. Fernando Bazan, Ajit Varki, and Robert A. Kastelein

Page 22732, legend to Fig. 2: The correct legend to this figure is:

FIG. 2. Alignment of deduced amino acid sequences. The predicted sequences of OB-BP1 (GenBankTM accession no. U71382) and OB-BP2 (GenBankTM accession no. U71383) were aligned to CD33 (5) using Clustal W and optimized manually. Approximate boundaries are indicated for the signal sequence, extracellular Ig, transmembrane, and intracellular domains. Other features are noted as follows: *, identity among all 3 molecules;   & circ; , identity between OB-BP1 and OB-BP2; -, putative glycosylation sites; boxes mark highly conserved regions surrounding the intracellular tyrosine residues.
