Genome-wide transcriptional profile of Escherichia coli in response to high levels of the second messenger 3',5'-cyclic diguanylic acid. VOLUME 281 (2006) PAGES 8090-8099

M. Marcela Méndez-Ortiz, Mamoru Hyodo, Yoshihiro Hayakawa, and Jorge Membrillo-Hernández

PAGE 8091:

Under "Experimental Procedures," subheading "Microarray Procedures and Data Analysis," it is said, by mistake, that we used the Affimetrix GeneChip. The entire paragraph should read as follows: "We used the E. coli 50-mer oligo library from MWGBiotech Oligo Sets (http:/www.mwgbiotech.com) printed in duplicate and fixed on SuperAmine-coated slides (25 x 75 mm; TeleChem International Inc.). cDNA synthesis incorporating dUTP-Cy3 or dUTP-Cy5 was carried out employing the CyScribe first-strand cDNA labeling kit (Amersham Biosciences). Incorporation of fluorophore was analyzed by using absorbance at 555 nm for Cy3 and 655 for Cy5. Equal quantities of labeled cDNA were hybridized using hybridization solution HybIT2 (TeleChem International Inc.). Acquisition and quantification of array images was performed in ScanArray from Packard BioChips. All images were captured using software ArrayPro Analyzer from Media Cibernetics. Microarray data analysis was performed with the free software genArise developed in the Computing Unit of the Cellular Physiology Institute of the National University of Mexico (UNAM; www.ifc.unam.mx/genarise/)."
