In C. elegans, the unc-32 gene encodes at least 6 different isoforms of the V-ATPase a subunit generated through alternative splicing. The cover shows the GFP expression pattern of one isoform, unc-32 B, which is limited to all neurons of the worm. A mutation in htis isoform specifically disrupts the function of the nervous system.
