About the Cover

Cover Figure

On the cover, immunoperoxidase staining of mouse pancreas with antibodies raised to the islet-specific glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit-related protein (IGRP) shows that IGRP is localized to islet cells and not acinar tissue or ductal elements. Very few IGRP-negative cells are observed within the islet suggesting that alpha and beta cells are certainly immunoreactive and that psosibly all four endocrine cell types express the protein. For details see the article by Martin et al., pages 25197-25207.25197.
