About the Cover
The cover shows a stereoview of alpha-conotoxin EI that exhibits a unique receptor binding preference to
the alpha1/GAMMA subunit interface of
Torpedo nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. The blue ribbon traces the "omega-shaped
peptide backbone and shown in yellow are two disulfide bonds. The space-filled region represents a putative
hydrophobic (X-Pro-psi) binding surface to the alpha-subunit
