About the Cover
The cover shows kaleidoscopic crystalline arrangement of a chimeric polypeptide bearing an insecticidal bioactive surface on the scaffold of an anti-mammalian scorpion α-toxin. Cα traces and cartoon representations are colored according to the thermal motion. Phe-15 (magenta), Phe-17 (cyan), Arg-18 (blue), Trp-38 (pink), and Asn-44 (yellow), shown in CPK mode, are compressed around the 4-fold axis.
