About the Cover
On the cover, Wnt-1-transduced breast cancer cells undergo an epithelial-mesenchymal transition and display tissue-invasive activity via a process dependent upon the stabilization of the transcription factor protein, Snail. In the micrograph, Wnt-1-expressing MCF-7 cells labeled with green fluorescent protein (green) invade the chick chorioallantoic membrane and surround blood vessels that are stained red with an anti-type IV collagen antibody. Tumor and chick cell nuclei are stained with 4',6'-diamino-2-phenylindole (blue). For details see the article by Yook et al., pages 11740-11748.
