On The Cover: The cover shows the outer membrane (OM) protein OmpW from Escherichia coli embedded in the OM, with an n-dodecyl-N,N-dimethylamine-N-oxide (LDAO) molecule bound in the central hydrophobic channel of OmpW. We propose that OmpW functions as a transporter of small hydrophobic molecules across the OM. This figure was generated using Pymol. For details see the article by Hong et al., pages 7568–7577.
