On The Cover The cover shows a macrophage in the process of phagocytosing a filamentous form of Candida albicans. The cholesterol- and actin-rich phagocytic cup is labeled with Texas Red conjugated phalloidin to label F-actin (red), and sterols (of both the macrophage and yeast) are labeled with filipin III (cyan). The original image has been enhanced and rendered in Adobe Photoshop. For details see the article by Kay et al., pages 11949–11954.
