Cover Figure

On The Cover: The immunophilin-like protein TWISTED DWARF1 (TWD1) interacts with P-glycoprotein (PGP), PGP1, catalyzing the cellular efflux of the plant hormone auxin (indole-3-acetic acid, red), controlling plant development. Yeast co-expression (PGP1-YFP, yellow; TWD1-CFP, blue: superimposition, green) indicates that TWD1 functions as a specific modulator of PGP auxin efflux activities. Absence of those in twd1 plants accounts for the "twisted syndrome" that includes dwarfism and twisted plant organs (electron microscopy of the hypocotyl, green). For details see the article by Bouchard et al., pages 30603–30612.
