On The Cover: Yeast DNA polymerase ε (Pol ε) binds stably to double-stranded DNA through its component subassembly, Dpb3p-Dpb4p. Modeling the three-dimensional structure of histone-fold regions of Dpb3p-Dpb4p complexed with DNA, based on homology with the H2A-H2B-DNA structure, enabled us to create DNA-binding-deficient Pol ε. Loss of DNA binding leads to unstable inheritance of silenced telomeric ADE2, visualized by a colony color assay. For details see the article by Tsubota et al., pages 32898–32908.
