About the Cover
On The Cover: Longitudinal section of the developing fruit structure of a canola plant (Brassica napus) with developing embryos visible inside the seeds. Studying the part of the metabolic network that provides precursors for oil and protein synthesis, Schwender et al. studied mitochondrial metabolism in developing embryos using stable isotope-steady state flux analysis.
