On The Cover: Assembly of collagen IV occurs through specific interactions between the globular noncollagenous domains located at the carboxyl-terminal end of each chain. Detailed kinetic and structural studies have revealed two recognition motifs (shown in yellow) involved in the chain selection and assembly.
