Plasma membrane disruptions are evident in rostrocaudal muscular dystrophy (rmd) mutant mouse skeletal muscle cross-sections based on infiltration of Evans Blue fluorescent dye (red). The rmd mutation in the choline kinase beta (Chkb) gene does not affect the normal sarcolemmal localization of dystrophin (green). Nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
