On The Cover: The cover shows a semithin section of a LXR-deficient uterus. Caption was taken at the endometrium-myometrium junction. Azure 2 blue dye stains lipids in yellow. Note the presence of multiple lipidic vacuoles in muscular cells of myometrium (upper part). This accumulation of lipids, which are cholesteryl esters, led to muscular contraction defect and sometimes to parturition impairment of pregnant females.
