As of Monday, March 30 at 12 noon EDT, the JBC will be operating on a new Bench Press submission system. In order to make this transition, the current submission site for JBC will shut down Monday, March 30 at 12 noon EDT. All submissions sent prior to March 30 that are not able to be processed due to additional information needed will be sent back to the author for re-submission on the new system.
Because Bench Press uses a shared registration system, if an author is already registered with another journal that uses the Bench Press system, there is no need to complete the full registration process outlined below. Login to the site using your existing email and password. The author will, however, need to complete a profile page.
When submitting to the new system, login using the following URL: http://submit.jbc.org-
Please use the following instructions to enter the system:
- Click on the Create a New Account Link from the login screen to enter the registration area.
- Click the Check for Account button to see if an account already exists.
- If an account does not exist, the author will be prompted to register a new account.
- The system will send a verification email. Once the emails is received, click on the URL or cut and paste it into a web browser to verify the email address.
- Once the email has been verified, the author will be prompted to complete a registration form.
- Once the registration form has been completed, the author will be prompted to enter at least 15 areas of expertise.
- A confirmation screen will appear indicating the registration has been completed.
