Isa1p is a component of the mitochondrial machinery for maturation of cellular iron-sulfur proteins and requires conserved cysteine residues for function.

      There were two errors in this article. The version of Fig. 2A that was published on May 26, 2000 contained an unintended duplication of the Isa1p and Tim44p bands, whereas the version that was published as a Paper in Press on March 15, 2000 shows the correct bands. In Fig. 3B, the Tom70p and CC1HL immunoblots were inadvertently duplicated. These errors have been corrected and do not affect the results or conclusions of this work.
