On The Cover: MutSα, which recognizes mismatched base pairs in human cells, forms a molecular complex with the DNA replication clamp PCNA (proliferating cell nuclear antigen). The mesh corresponds to the molecular envelope of a 1:1 complex of the two proteins in solution as determined by small angle x-ray scattering.
