On The Cover: Cryo-EM reveals the unique ability of the dynamin-related protein Mgm1 to tether
bilayers of opposing membranes and anchor them at a fixed distance, to both support
mitochondrial inner membrane cristae structures and promote the fusion of opposing
membranes. Diffraction patterns (white spots) from two-dimensional protein crystals on the lipid surface suggest GTP-induced constriction.
